Our Story

New to the market, but an oldie in the wig industry, Wigs by Camila creates and sells hand-dyed lace front wigs to an international market of women.

Combining Camila’s experience, as both a user and seller of lace wigs, Wigs By Camila desires to offer customers quality hair, with a natural and comfortable finish for daily use, whether it be for reasons of hair loss or not.

My name is Camila Bento, founder and CEO of WIGS BY CAMILA. I am a Brazilian native living in Massachusetts since 2019, and my first contact with wigs was when I received my Alopecia Areata diagnosis, which evolved into Alopecia Universalis in October/2011.

From the beginning of my diagnosis, the use of lace wigs helped me a lot. This positive experience with lace wigs drove me to create and open my first wig shop focused on the Brazilian market, Perucas DM. Ten years later, after my move to the United States, I felt the desire to expand the business to serve the American market. Hence, WIGS BY CAMILA was born.

This universe of wigs and accessories opened up to me after my diagnosis and total hair loss. Today, my work has the main goal of generating knowledge and opening paths so that everyone has access to products and solutions that help us in our day-to-day.
